As part of its digital expansion, Hygie31 announces the acquisition of Pascal Coste Shopping, a leading B2C e-commerce player specializing in the selective distribution of professional haircare products. This strategic transaction marks a decisive step forward for Hygie31 and strengthens its position on a rapidly-growing market.

A pivotal player in haircare e-commerce

Pascal Coste Shopping, created in 2008, has established itself as one of the leaders in e-commerce in France. With a catalogue boasting 8,500 references and 200 partner brands, the chain achieved great results with turnover of 11 million euro in 2024, of which 95% was made in France.

An acquisition promoting diversification

The acquisition of Pascal Coste Shopping is part of a diversification strategy and strengthens the Group's position on the wellness market. This new business has led to the creation of a new company, Hygie Hair Care, a joint venture between Hygie31 and Pascal Coste Shopping, which will benefit from the entire e-commerce value chain.

Dhygietal, Hygie31's digital subsidiary will make its full expertise available: technologies, integrated logistics, digital marketing and financial services. This pooling of resources will ensure this new business activity develops as quickly as possible .

This acquisition enhances Hygie31's portfolio, which now covers three strategic areas:

A clear strategy: strengthen, structure, speed up

Hygie31 pursues a targeted growth strategy, by focusing on an approach that combines sector consolidation and the pooling of expertise. The acquisition of Pascal Coste Shopping meets a multi-purpose goal: to expand the catalogue with professional products, to develop synergies between subsidiaries and to extend product distribution channels. For Hervé Jouves, Hygie31 CEO, this transaction is part of a long-term development drive:

"The integration of Pascal Coste Shopping marks a significant step forward in our diversification strategy. This alliance enables us to add to our solutions by integrating business expertise that was, until now, absent from the Group."

For its part, Pascal Coste highlights the strategic opportunity that this alliance brings: "Joining Hygie31 is a golden opportunity for our business. The group's support enables us to reach a milestone and optimize our development in an increasingly competitive environment."

Hugues Chanoine, Dhygietal Managing Director, underscores the complementary nature of the expertise: "We imagined Dhygietal to deliver solutions and services throughout the e-commerce value chain. Pascal Coste's decision to join us confirms the legitimacy of our strategic choices, including that of automated, scalable logistics."

A buoyant market, a clear ambition

The haircare market in France represented 1.3 billion euro in 2023 and is set to generate annual growth of 3.75% over the 2024-2029 period. The digitization of habits and the boom in e-commerce are transforming consumer trends and offer growth opportunities to players capable of industrializing their processes while maintaining a selective, premium-quality approach.

Through this acquisition, Hygie31 confirms its ambition to become the leader of a specialized e-commerce, by combining operational excellence and digital innovation.
